NEW SEISMOGRAPH

Virginia Western has a seismograph station located on campus.  The new instrument can record earthquakes anywhere in the world as well as earthquakes at regional and local distances.  Virginia Western and Virginia Tech collaborate to operate the station, which is part of the U.S. Geological Survey's Advanced National Seismic System.
