[Help!]   [Instructions]   [Scoring]   Forums:  [121]  [122]  [269] Why do I require Blackboard discussion?  I believe there should be more to online learning than independent study.  Students need to interact with their classmates and the instructor throughout the term, asking questions and sharing thoughts about relevant topics.  This is what I call engagement in learning: continuous attention to the course, thoughtful communication, and reflective thinking.  The discussion board is our vehicle for progressing through the course as a class, not merely as individuals sharing a common experience.  [Read more.]
