reserve at the circulation desk on the top floor. Go to the

The periodicals are located on the main floor of Brown
Library in the reference area. The are arranged in alphabetical
order by title. Use the lists below to see what titles we own.
Periodicals Full-Text VIVA
Here is a list of our full-text
periodicals available through VIVA. You can search for a
specific periodical by title or click on the category tab to
search for all the periodicals on a subject such as Agriculture
Science. After clicking on Agriculture Science, click on
Horticulture and Plant Culture.
General Databases
These databases are available under the
Databases link from the Brown Library Home Page.

Blackwell Synergy- Full-text journal articles in a wide
variety of academic subjects. It is possible to narrow your
search to a particular subject group such as ecology or
plant science.

EBSCO
- This is the place to start for general research. This group of databases
includes: Academic Search Complete, Business Source Complete,
Computers & Applied Sciences Complete, CINAHL, PsycARTCLES,
ERIC, Environment Complete, and more. Articles may be full-text, abstracts, or citations.

JSTOR:
Arts & Sciences Collection I -
Full-text journal articles in a wide
variety of academic subjects. While most library
databases begin periodical coverage in the early 1980's, JSTOR provides complete back-runs of journals sometimes
going back to the early 1900's. JSTOR does not include
current articles. See Project Muse.

Project Muse - Current full-text journal articles in a
wide variety of academic subjects. Includes current issues
for many JSTOR titles.

Access Science - McGraw-Hill, Encyclopedia of Science
and Technology

BioOne Journals - Full-text journal articles in
bioscience.

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts - This is a set of
databases in the sciences including the Biological Sciences,
Biology Digest and Plant Science databases. These databases
include abstracts only; meaning there are no full-text
articles. However, we can order articles for you through
interlibrary loan.

JSTOR: Ecology & Botany - A full-text journal database
which expands upon the JSTOR: Arts & Sciences Collection by
adding 29 new titles in ecology, biology, botany and plant
sciences. Your JSTOR search will include both collections.

Science- Includes full-text of Science back to
1996. While the database includes indexing back to 1880, we
do not have a subscription to the full-text for those years.
However, we do have hard copy issues back to 1938 and can
order older issues through interlibrary loan. Also,
Science is covered full-text back to 1983 in the Gale databases.
