General Tutorials:
Sources for research come from a
wide variety of places. In addition to print-based sources such as
books, magazines and newspapers, students now have access to
electronic databases, email and websites. The common cry today is
"so much information, so little time." Use one of the
tutorials below as your guide to making sense of it all.

CONNECT
for Success - (VCCS Information Literacy Tutorial) - This is the
research tutorial used at VWCC in selected English 112 classes. There are modules covering:
orientation to the library, searching an electronic database, finding
information sources, using internet sources, evaluating sources and constructing
a search strategy.
