Library Orientation

At the invitation of your instructor, Ms. Hurt will go to your off-campus class to demonstrate the online databases and provide an overview of library services. At scheduled times each semester she will provide a similar presentation for distance learning students who come to the library. Students from off-site locations are also welcome to attend these sessions.

Library orientations for the summer semester, 2008, will be held at the following times:

• 5/22 - 6:30 p.m.
• 5/23 - 2:30 p.m.
• 5/31 - 10:30 a.m.

Sessions typically last thirty minutes.

If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please notify Ms. Hurt in advance. If you are interested in coming to an orientation session but cannot make any of the scheduled times, Ms. Hurt will be glad to meet with you one-on-one at a time convenient for you, day or evening.

Also, you may request from Ms. Hurt a copy of the Library Handbook. This manual is a guide to library resources and services. It gives general information about the library, explains how to use our most popular databases, and shows how to cite sources.
