COVA Care and COVA HDHP members, including covered dependents, will be able to get a free flu shot at participating Virginia pharmacies between October 15, 2007 and February 15, 2008.

VWCC Ethics in the Workplace Training

VWCC Ethics in the Workplace On-line Training has been added to the VWCC Knowledge Center.
Training will take about one hour.
All employees of the College must take this training, and you are encouraged do this during your normal work schedule.
To take the training login to the VWCC Knowledge Center ((click here), go to Learning Center, select Course Information and Enrollment, and then enter as a keyword “VWCC” and Search. From the drop down box select VWCC Ethics in the Workplace On-line Training and select Take the Course. There are three separate modules to the training and you are required to complete each module. Completion of this course will be reflected on your training transcript.

Qualifying Mid Year Events - Certain qualifying mid-year events permit health care election changes outside of the Open Enrollment period. Your change request must be received in the Human Resources Office within 31 days of the event and be on account of and consistent with the event. You may be asked to submit supporting documentation. A complete listing and explanation of qualifying mid-year events is available at DHRM

VRS - myVRS - This is a new on-line service for employees provided by the VRS that allows you to:

Create retirement benefit estimates
Simulate various retirement options to determine the best option for you
Plug your estimates into a new personal financial planner
View your VRS information (information is updated monthly)
- Years of service
- Member contributions
- Purchase of prior service
- Employment and compensation history
- Basic group life insurance coverage
Correct or change your contact information, such as your address
Check on the status of an application for retirement or purchase of prior service
